Tiara tales…at Christie’s jewelry auction.

As a young girl I was always fascinated by fairy tales and if it was the same with you who as a kid always wanted to be a princess, here’s your chance. You can be so only if you are an uncrowned princess in real life who has a rich father, who can buy you the tiara of an Italian princess. Your destination is the Christie’s jewelry auction in London on June 13. Italy’s Princess Maria Gabriella of Savoy is auctioning off 41 lots of rare jewels in order to help pay her taxes. The most astounding piece is the Faberge tiara that will look great after it sits on the head of another pretty lady. I pity the princess as she has to part with this exceptionally beautiful tiara. But you can have Empress Josephine Tiara (called so the briolette-cut diamonds were given to the French empress by Tsar Alexandra I following her divorce from Napoleon I.) it has come right out from antiquity and is up for $1.2 million.
