The Patek Philippe Annual Calendar Travel Time combines the watchmaker’s two signature complications for the very first time

Patek Philippe arrived at this year’s Watches & Wonders trade show with a staggering 12 novelties including a beautiful retro-themed timepiece that combines the Travel Time complication with the annual calendar. Meet the 5326G-001 Annual Calendar Travel Time, the first Patek Philippe to feature these two complications in a single watch. The Geneva luxury watchmaker also considerably streamlined the design as compared to the Pilot Travel Time to give it a more universal appeal thanks to its clutter-free design. The watch gets an all-new 41mm white gold Calatrava case with a guilloched hobnail pattern on the entire circumference of the caseband. Unlike the Pilot Travel Time which features pushers to adjust the local time, the latest offering gets a single crown with three positions for all adjustments.

The Patek Philippe Annual Calendar Travel Time also gets a very unique dial that prominently contributes to the vintage vibe of the piece. The highly textured charcoal grey dial gets a grained pattern which is augmented with Arabic numerals and syringe hands filled with cream-colored luminescent material. The date window is located right at the bottom of the dial at 6 o’clock, while the weekdays and months are displayed in windows at 12 o’clock. The moon phase is integrated into the small seconds sub-dial that’s positioned right above the date window. For the travel time complication, the watch features a central 12h hand for a second time zone, and two day/night indicators, one for local time, and one for home time.

Patek Philippe had to create a brand new movement for the timepiece as the two complications had never been combined by the Swiss watchmaker before. The watch is powered by the self-winding caliber 31‑260 PS QA LU FUS 24H, which is based on the movement found in the In-Line Perpetual Calendar 5236P. It offers a power reserve of 38-48 hours and can be seen from the transparent sapphire caseback. The watch is delivered with two calfskin straps — beige with nubuck finish and black embossed with fabric pattern and contrasting beige stitching. The Patek Philippe Annual Calendar Travel Time 5326G is priced at CHF 65,000 (about $70,000).
