Jewelry artist hand-engraves a Rolex to make the world’s first weed-themed luxury watch

This hand-engraved Rolex might make the purists cringe because it doesn’t quite mirror the iconic brand’s clean, elegant and sophisticated identity, but it’s one of those things that grow on you more you look at it. Here’s presenting the world’s first-ever weed-themed Rolex – at least that’s what its creator, jewelry artisan Buddy Austin of Third Eye Assembly, claims. The custom handmade Rolex Oyster Perpetual Milgauss, aptly named the “Cannabis,” took more than 150 hours of painstaking work under the knife with each leaf meticulously hand-engraved to perfection.

It features a “Fin Des Temps” watch face along with a praying mantis graphic clasp and “Reefer Madness” rear casing. In addition to that, the green, yellow and orange components placed on the face add an appealing touch to the watch. If you’re impressed by this piece of artwork with a brilliant Rolex watch as its base, you’re out of luck because this one off creation has already been privately sold for $30,000.
