First Ritz-Carlton Hotel opens up in Saudi Arabia


Now you have one more reason to head to Saudi. The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, LLC, will open its doors in Riyadh, the eighth king in the Gulf. The hotel boasts of 493 rooms and suites, located next to the Diplomatic Quarter and adjacent to the King Abdul Aziz Convention Centre. The hotel has been designed by Al-Rasheed Engineering Company and constructed by Oger International. Created keeping in mind the royal guest palace, the building reflects traditional palaces and Arabian residences. The landscape boasts of Native palms, 600-year old olive trees from Lebanon, and water fountains. The new hotel also means a facelift for the local hospitality industry.

Currently, he said the hotel had recruited 380 hotel staff from 25 nationalities, and 50 trainers are training them. “At present, we have 20 percent Saudis including local women working in finance, public relations, human resources and other departments in the hotel”.
