UK’s most expensive flat at One Hyde Park earns over $220 million


Changing hands from a Ukrainian buyer who picked up “Flat a” the penthouse at the One Hyde Park by paying hard cash in 2007. And today, its new owners have paid a hefty amount for the property, making it UK’s most expensive flat to date. After spending £135.4 million ($$220.33 million) to acquire the home, they spent an additional £60 million ($97.64 million) on interior work. The property built by the Candy brothers has been one of the most talked-about upmarket properties that boast of £1 billion ($1.63 billion) of sales for its 45 apartments.

While this particular property is free of explicit mortgage, the buyer’s identity is kept a secret thanks to a confidentiality agreement signed by the developer Project Grande (Guernsey) Limited.
