2014 Bentley Flying Spur


Bentley has released the Flying Spur which is the fastest and most powerful four-door Bentley yet. Christened as the Flying Spur, this contemporary yet powerful sedan defines comfort and refinement. With a breathtaking speed of 200 mph (322 km/h), this model zooms from 0-60 mph time in a just 4.3 seconds. The uber luxury sedan offers unrivaled performance, it makes uses of the Continental GT Speed’s 6.0-litre, twin turbo W12 engine delivering 625 PS (616 bhp) and 800 Nm of torque. A new eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox that shifts in under 200 milliseconds, adds to the speed. Bentley claims that the car is better than the outgoing model as there is 14% improvement in the power-to-weight ratio.


The Flying Spur’s exterior looks sharp with extensive use of aluminum and steel coachwork. The LED lights look brilliant in an upright grille with curves over the front fenders, down the lightly emphasized sides. The rear is also beautifully curvaceous, embedded with horizontal single ellipse LED tail lamps. The new redesigned door structures include smaller individual parts for improved quality and refinement. For efficient control, the car includes diamond-turned finish 19-inch classic wheels wrapped in 275/45/19 rubber.

Inside the Flying Spur, Bentley has focused on improving comfort and sound isolation with an open and elegant cabin. Available in both four- and five-seat configurations, the rear seats of the new sedan are trimmed in natural premium-quality leather. It features a book-matched and mirror-polished veneer, consoles, waist rails, and picnic tables. It also includes an eight-inch touchscreen, through which they can control the sat-nav, Bluetooth, and entertainment systems.


With an option of rear seat remote control with touch-screen infotainment and mobile connectivity, including Wi-Fi, the car oozes luxury. The standard eight-channel, eight-speaker audio system plays music from an onboard hard drive, CDs, DVDs, SD cards, or an iPod; the car’s system has enhanced NAIM 1,100-watt audio system features and redesigned subwoofers.

Designed for exceptional comfort, the new Bentley Flying Spur includes a lavish range of seventeen standard exterior paint colors. The range also includes Dark Cashmere, sophisticated and contemporary addition to the Bentley palette. Customers can also include additional features like Bentley’s traditional diamond quilting, with indented leather headlining and embroidered Bentley wings to the headrests. Customization like drilled alloy foot pedals, a knurled sports gear lever, jewel filler cap, and alloy wheels in painted or polished finish complete the Mulliner suite of options is also available.
