Rolls-Royce brings out custom Phantoms that celebrate the Chinese Year of the Dragon


As China celebrates the Year of the Dragon, Rolls Royce has jumped into the celebrations too with a bang. The brand will bring out a special design edition of the Phantom and Phantom Extended Wheelbase models. Designed by the Bespoke team, the car will sport a gold-hued exterior dragon coachline, which the Forbidden City has inspired in Beijing. The symmetry kept intact, thanks to the forward-facing dragon face.

The car will also sport a hand-laid dragon inlay set in gold hues on the passenger panel. The leather headrest will be hand-embroidered in a combination of four thread colors Tan, Golden Sand, Black, and White, which will complement the “palette of recommended leather color options.” The cushions on the rear passenger seats will Sport “embroidered double R-R logos and piping” to highlight the interiors. The four-door sills will also sport LED illuminated treadplates that read ‘Year of the Dragon 2012’.
